The second generation window crank was issued in 1976 and was a new casting with convex handle, polished metal surfaces without grooves on handle. There are several part numbers for these handles as there were three different castings made. The early ones were part number 3882247. They were completely solid and flat on the back side of handle. It was superceded by part number 3882765 and differed from early versions by having several ribs on the back side of the handle. A third casting was issued for 1979 as part number 4319824 and had just three ribs on the back of the handle.
