Offered at auction is a scarce antique stickpin which has the early version of the Chevrolet bowtie logo top. The stickpin is 2 1/2" long in total and the top is 3/4" long, 5/16" wide. The logo is the earliest version--the blue background with silver letters and lines above and below. The logo was adopted in ca. 1913-1916. The stickpin was made by the Gustav Fox Co of Cincinnati, a foremost manufacturer of automobile metal signs. The stickpin is in very good condition with no bending of the pin shank, no loss of blue enamel or silver. Unusual piece of Chevrolet history.
