    Description

    Soooo…..I had a bunch of used KZ1000 cylinder blocks lying about that I just needed the sleeves out of. I felt it would be a great waste to just scrap the aluminum blocks considering they have been out of production for decades and they are beautiful castings. I media blasted one, milled it as if I were prepping it to race, and slit off a .300" segment on my milling machine. I custom framed it, under glass, against a finely woven black cloth background. The frame is a whitish blond which I think accents the milled aluminum nicely. The cylinder segment and cloth are mounted to a 1/4" piece of plywood. I drilled and bottom tapped two small tapped holes in the back of the segment and it is fastened to the plywood with 4mm stainless hardware. The holes and hardware are not visible from the front. This segment proudly displays the words "MADE IN JAPAN" and the serial number.
    This is a beautiful piece of moto-art, especially if you are a fan of vintage superbike racing!
