  • Condition: The stein is in great vintage condition given its age. Overall, the stein is very clean and the images are still very vibrant and colorful. There are a few small knicks in the paint on the bottom rim of the cup and a little wear on the bottom of the cup, but it looks really good (please see images for details on condition).

    Description

    You are purchasing a vintage fine china 130th Anniversary Stein for the Marshall Field's department store (1852-1982) featuring the iconic image on Marshall Field's clock painted by Norman Rockwell that ran in the Saturday Evening Post in 1945.  The stein was produced by Gorham Fine Chine in 1982 to commemorate the anniversary with only 1000 of them produced.  This stein is hand-marked as number 384 of 1,000 on the bottom of the stein along with the rest of the details from its production.  The stein also comes with a certificate of authenticity from Gorham that includes lines for the original owner and line of ownership.  The certiciate is bent from being stored in the stein and there is some light creasing on it, but it is a nice addition to the stein itself.
    The stein is in beautiful vintage condition with very clean and crisp images and no significant wear or tear beyond a few small knicks in the paint on the bottom rim of the stein and a little wear on the bottom surface of the cup.  Please see images for details on condition.
