Neat 1993 Orig DOLLAR DEPOT Inside WALL Sign Great HAND GRAPHIC w/DOLLAR Bills !
This is an original version of the Dollar Depot inside wall sign from a pretty short lived variant of this company
- not too many of these around.
Just about as nice as you would find for a used sign considering the age of the piece and being made of delicate plexiglass material, graphics in fine shape, colors still vibrant, metal surface somewhat darkened or yellowed over the years - no real damage, unit still works fine - Please see all photos below - THANKS !!!
Has a patent number 4891896 on the back label which is for a Simulated neon sign.
Abstract off the Internet about this patent:
A simulated neon sign comprises a frame, non-neon internal lighting, and a front plastic panel having an outer face. The outer face of the front plane comprises outwardly projecting indicia and a non-projecting region that is substantially opaque to the internal light. Pigmented translucent coating is applied on the indicia so that light from the internal lighting can pass through the indicia. To simulate the halo effect of a neon light, additional pigmented coating is applied to the non-projecting region of the panel adjacent the indicia. A method for manufacturing the neon sign is also disclosed.

Inventor was Vernie A. Boren and the original assignee was the Gulf Development Corporation.
Condition issues: none really, plastic great, metal housing has no damage,  metal hanging loops still strong, light works fine and has 4 each 48 inch 40W flourescent tubes inside.
NOTE: I will remove the flourescent tubes prior to shipping so NO BULBS supplied as they would not survive the transit !!!
Overall dimensions are about 48 inches in width, about 18 inches high, and about 6 inch in thickness, its quite a heavy solid piece about 23 pounds unboxed.
