Replace the o-ring seal in your CO2 powered .177 air pistol to restore the original power and CO2 cartridge life. Replacing your seal ends frustrating CO2 leaks and wasted gas.
The seal that came with your pistol was probably made of latex, and breaks down quickly causing a failure. These new o-ring seals from JimsGizmos are engineered with high-grade industrial silicone to provide a longer life than the original seals.
These o-ring seals work with most CO2 air pistols that use the revolving belt style magazine and the Gamo P-23 CO2 Subsystem, which is used in some SIG, Colt, GAMO, and other air pistols. Please be sure that your air pistol's magazine and CO2 cartridge fastening system looks exactly like the photos in this listing. There are many types of CO2 air pistols on the market, and these seals will only fit the specific type of pistol shown in the photos.
To check if these o-ring seals will fit in your pistol, remove the magazine and CO2 cartridge and look down inside the pistol where the small end of the CO2 cartridge goes in. You should see an orifice similar to the one shown in the photos. If your air pistol has this type of orifice, then these o-ring seals should fit. Note that your old o-ring might be missing or it might be yellow or black rubber.
You can also identify this type of air pistol by looking at the flat knob that screws in and tightens the CO2 cartridge into the seat. If your pistol has the flat thumb screw as shown in the photo, then these seals should fit your pistol.
To install your new o-ring seals:
1.) Carefully use a pair of long tweezers to remove the old seal and any debris in the orifice area, and blow out any debris with compressed air if you have access to that,
2.) Carefully drop one new silicone o-ring seal down into the orifice and make sure it is aligned perfectly around the orifice, then gently press it down into the recess with a pencil or long soft rod,
3.) Finally, install a new CO2 cartridge as usual and enjoy your refreshed CO2 pistol. Note that when you change CO2 cartridges, the o-ring might adhere to the old CO2 cartridge, so keep an eye on it so you don't lose the o-ring.
