A caricature of Uncle Sam is featured.
The poster is a silkscreen  12  x  18 inches - it is unbacked.
In 1970 Poster Plus was moved by the Massacre at Kent State and organized an exhibition in our Gallery of student strike posters. Submissions came from several schools around the country and afterwards we returned the posters. Students from Columbia College in Chicago had formed their own graphic collective and spent funds to produce the posters. Poster Plus offered to purchase their excess stock to help defray expenses.

same leadership. For 30 years we had a retail gallery across the street
from the Art Institute of Chicago and thousands of visitors from
all over
the world came to know us and trust our taste and products. We closed
our street level gallery but are still here, on line, on our website and eBay.
David Gartler, the owner, is a founding member of the International Vintage
Poster Dealer's Association (IVPDA). A respected
member of the poster
community, he is frequently speaking on the history of posters and called
upon for advice and appraisals.
Poster Plus is locally owned and actively contributes to Chicago's arts communities and establishments.
