    Description

Truly exceptional poster featuring Michelin’s mascot Bibendum, otherwise known as the Michelin Man advertising bicycle tires prior to the modern proliferation of automobiles. This poster is certainly pre 1930 as the Michelin Man has his trademark cigar. The cigar disappeared in 1930 to provide a wider market appeal. Even today the Michelin Man is one of the most widely recognized and loved corporate symbols throughout the world. The early Michelin Man was always aboard his bicycle and in this case providing replacement tires as he rode along. Anything Michelin Man, especially the porcelain signs of this era are highly sought after collectibles and extremely marketable. There will not be endless chances to purchase posters such as this one and as they grow more and more scarce the value will only increase. This one is nicely linen backed ready to be hung and admired. It is returnable for 14 days and will be shipped in a sturdy tube fully insured.
