    The People's Peace Treaty
    was created  in 1970, by representatives of United States and Vietnamese student organizations. The treaty was part of a collaborative effort to end the Vietnam War by outlining a number of principles with which all sides could agree. Noam Chomsky and Joan Baez were among the instrumental supporters of the group.
