Philadelphia John Wanamaker department store 2 lg interior photos Christmas 40s

Here are two shiny photographs of Philadelphia’s famous John Wanamaker department store across from city hall. You can feel the old texture and shiny finish placing them around the 1940’s. They were part of the estate of a decorator who worked there from the 1930’s to the 1950’s. The famous large bronze eagle statue is in both. The larger photo, 13 3/4” by 10 3/4,” has elaborate Christmas decorations. The other photo, 11 1/4” by 7 1/4,” has winter decorations with big snowmen. The photo detail is excellent. The large one has some wear on the edges. The smaller one has some light undulations on the right side. Any bright spots or lines you see were only reflections and don’t exist.. The nice shine on the surfaces didn’t show in my pics.
