Rare/ Vintage 1951 Marshall Fields Uncle Mistletoe doll !! 9 " tall

Description

Uncle Mistletoe Bear (1951) owned by my mother for 70 years,needs a new home.
There is a note included where she mentions that her sister (my aunt) bought it for her for Christmas in 1951.
This doll has been lovingly cared for in a smoke free home,however his mittens are  dusty.
The story of Uncle Mistletoe and Aunt Holly began when the characters were introduced in 1945 and were often seen at the top of Marshall Fields's Christmas Tree in the Walnut room, as well as in other locations in the store and most predominantly featured along Marshall Fields beautiful windows on State Street.
Uncle Mistletoe was  made in very limited numbers...over time that number has decreased considerably ...no doubt he will increase in value each year.
