Shekhar Mehta's Own 1981 Marlboro Safari Rally Winners Trophy

Description

This is the original bronze trophy presented to Shekhar Mehta, on winning the 1981 Marlboro Safari Rally in the works Datsun Violet GT with co-driver Mike Doughty. The cheetah bronze design was used as the trophy several times and this one is signed on the base by the sculptor Robert Glen and dated 1980. The trophy is very heavy ( 6.3 kgs.) and measures 15 x 5 1/2 x 12 3/4 inches.
