    Description

    A PAIR
    HISTORIC 1990
    PROTEST BUTTONS
    YELLOW RIBBON
    PEACE CAMPAIGN
During the period of the Invasion of Iraq in 1990 until
the fall of Baghdad in 2003, the yellow ribbon symbolized
support for the Gulf War. Generally, the yellow ribbon was
used along with the slogan, "We Support Our Troops".
Numerous peace groups used these buttons which combined
the yellow ribbon with symbols of the Peace Movement
as a protest against the United States of America's
involvement in another ongoing war. The Peace Sign
button is 1 1/4" and the Peace Dove button is 1 1/2".
Both have a safety pin back and are in mint condition.
    Two buttons will be shipped.
    From the collection of
Larry Fox, "The Button Man" (Member A.P.I.C.)
Both buttons have a  Fox Buttons tagline with the date 1990.
